I had my own School for Touch and Movement Therapy (Bahat Method) for about 20 years. Now I am teaching once a year in the Akademie for massage in Amsterdam and privately in Israel, teaching: Trager, Structural integration and parts of the Bahat Method.
The uniqueness of my work lies in the integration between the different models I work with. Paula, Rolfing and Trager are three different approaches to the possibility of living better within the body, and they all unite in some aspects or even more complete one the other. Using the central axis within the Trager approach is one of these integrations I do.—-

She studied with Dr. Milton Trager for the next 15 years, and was certified as a TRAGER instructor in 1991. She maintains an ongoing private practice in Québec City, Québec.

Den varmt lysande tråden genom livet är, för mig, leken. Där finner lusten sitt naturliga uttryck till dans och rörelse. Via fantasins hjälp utforskar jag samspelet mellan kropp och själ som för mig utgör grunden och utökar vårt medvetande till helhet. Oavsett ålder är det aldrig försent att återuppta denna kontakt med vår egen skapande dans som vi har med oss sedan urminnes tider.
Dipl. Danspedagog från Balettakademien, Sthlm. Sedan början av 70-talet och har jag arbetat som danspedagog med fortlöpande utbildningar under årens lopp.
Dipl Trager Terapeut. Sedan slutet av 70-talet har jag arbetat vidare med kroppsterapier. Utbildningen har varit förlagd i Sverige, Europa och USA. Det har gett tillfälle till många möten med människor i olika livssituationer. I USA studerade jag under Dr Milton Trager mellan 1987 - 1997.
Därefter följer fortlöpande utbildningar inom Trager och andra kroppsterapier.
Dipl. Essential Motion Terapeut sedan 2009. Utbildningen leddes av Karen Roeper, USA.
Vedic Art Under tiden av dans och kroppsterapier har målandet funnits med som en självklar del. Det har inneburit kontinuerliga konststudier. Idag arbetar jag som lärare inom Vedic Art.
Body-Spirit-Move, är ett eget koncept utvecklat utifrån dans, improvisation, konst och kroppsterapi. Jag erbjuder återkommande workshops i Body-Spirit-Move.

I came to Trager as a client, 40 years ago. After about two years, it became clear to me that there was not much difference between being the client and being the Trager practitioner. I headed out to California and my first teacher, the whirlwind that was Betty Fuller. My life was changed forever! One month later, I was in a class with Milton Trager and met a group of people who have become lifelong friends and colleagues. Within five years, I was teaching and had a very interesting and rewarding practice in central Texas. I look back on my 16+ years with Dr. Trager and realize how lucky I was to have him as a mentor!
I am living in Zurich, Switzerland with my wife Gabriela, and we are teaching Trager Therapy, working with clients and helping to build a professional Trager organization! I find, as I enter my 75 th year, that supporting others to deepen their work, to become therapists, tutors and instructors is very, very rewarding. My practice has always brought me clients who teach me. Today, I mostly work with people who have issues with chronic pain and/or great difficulty in moving easily and comfortably. Gabriela and I do travel occasionally to teach Trager classes.
I intend to continue working as long as I am able. It has been deeply rewarding in so many ways! I am grateful.

On her first introduction to Trager, Chris recognized this work as creating a deep resonance within her. She joined the first Trager training held in Alberta in July 1984. After her practitioner certification in 1986, Chris established private practises in Red Deer, Alberta, Vancouver, BC and now, in the Comox Valley, BC.
Trager certification requires ongoing professional development. Chris has exceeded the continuing education requirements. She has been taught, challenged and supported by many different Trager instructors including Dr Milton Trager.
In addition to her Trager practitioner work with individual clients, Chris is specifically trained to work with Trager students and practitioners. With this training as a Tutor, Chris supports the development of the student's quality of work, assesses students for their practitioner status and monitors practitioners for their ongoing continuing education requirements.
As an adjunct to the skills of working with people, Chris also achieved the Counselling Skills Certificate from the Vancouver Community College.
Chris has supported her professional organization by serving for 6 years on its Board of Directors.
In addition, Chris has held the contract as the administrator for Trager Canada and continues to hold the administrative secretary contract for Trager International. This gives Chris an intimate view into the internal function of these organizations. She is impressed by the dedication of the Trager members throughout the world.
Trager contains a philosophical approach to people and how to create change that has inspired Chris for over 20 years. Respect for the client's inherent body wisdom is core to Trager. The deliberate creation of safety and trust fosters deep relaxation. The movement options that are offered in a Trager session are not given in a prescribed way but in a moment by moment assessment of the client's possibility for movement. Chris appreciates the congruence between how she uses her own body to create the movements and the experience she want to create in her client's body, both are soft, easy and flowing. Chris is inspired when client's learn to integrate these qualities into their lives.

I have been a Trager Practitioner since 1983, a class organizer since 1983, a Tutor since the inception of the Tutor program and a Tutor Supervisor, A Trager Anatomy Teacher since 1986, and a Trager Instructor since 2004. I have served on my regional Board as President, the USTA's Education Committee, the IC and the ICMT, and as part of the Theory U group. I served as co-coordinator of the 2004 USTA conference in Massachusetts.
I have a Master's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the Pennsylvania State University.
I have been teaching throughout my entire professional career, and facilitating groups in personal and professional growth is one of my greatest passions.

Eileen Dickinson

Eileen is particularly inspired to provide anatomical and physiological information to Trager students and practitioners so they can articulate more clearly about how/why Trager is effective, and to increase the potency of their work.
She brings this same enthusiasm to clients, helping them understand their body. Eileen is a PT on staff at the University of Michigan and maintains a thriving private Trager practice. For the USTA, she tutors students and practitioners, and teaches Introductory Workshops and an Elective on the anatomy and physiology of joints. She is currently training to become an Anatomy Teacher (for Trager).

Evamaria WILLACH
born 1949, lives in Hamburg, Trager practitioner since 1992, Trager anatomy teacher since 1995, Trager Instructor since 2007. In her first professional life (1973-1991), she taught English and Spanish at grammar schools. Several psycho- and body-therapeutic trainings and state examination to become a naturopath in 1992. Since then working independently in her own practice in Hamburg and Cologne. Two children and in the meantime two grandchildren.

At 26, I had been living on Kauai for 9 years. During that time I’d put myself through college, taught Scuba Diving, Hatha Yoga, ran a Spiritual Center and was trained in and performed Ancient Hawaiian Hula. My brother from Santa Cruz, CA, implored me to attend Dr Trager’s demonstration. I watched Dr. Milton Trager dance around the table, moving his client’s body in ways which reminded me of the weightless grace which happens in the warm Pacific ocean. The undulating wave movements connected the whole person, body, soul and mind.
Dr. Trager’s exuberant joy was contagious as he created results of relieving the client of surgically planned knee pain. He empowered the client by stating, “I learned from you, today” as his face glowed a radiance that had him lit up like a 5yr old. I thought to myself, he’s been doing this for over 50yrs and he still gets this excited!
This is what I want to do!
My decision led me to moving back to Bay Area California which allowed me to apprentice with Dr. Trager for the next 15 years. I brought this joyful pleasure to my clients for 28 years in a full-time active practice in Silicon Valley, CA. My evolution has had me dividing my time between teaching coaches how to create their thriving practices and teaching The Trager Approach.
There’s a dedication in my core to bringing forward in the most accessible ways the genius of my mentor. Having my clients experience for themselves the pleasurable joy of their light emanating brightly brings the deepest gratification.
I recognize I’ve been given a gift through Dr. Trager and it’s my path to be communicating and sharing as clearly as I can for those who are drawn to grow and expand.

Gabriela has been in contact with TRAGER since 1994. Her way of teaching this method creates a trusting and playful atmosphere. She has been interested in movement and gentle strengthening of the body for 30 years. She has a commercial background and has been an adult educator since 2015 (SVEB 1, 2 and 3). Her favorite things in life are doing Trager treatments, teaching people to become a Trager practitioner and Tutor and dancing. In their little garden she and her husband Bill Scholl get recovery and wonderful tomatoes!

Gail Stewart began studying bodywork and process at Esalen Institute and at the Gefion School in Berkeley, CA in 1971. She continued to study and work with a number of pioneers in awareness-based bodywork and process, including Dick Korn of the Berkeley Institute of Psychodrama, Peter Levine, Ph.D., founder of Somatic Experiencing, Dick Price, co-founder of Esalen Institute, and Christine Price, founder of Gestalt Awareness Practice.
She studied with Dr. Milton Trager, originator of TRAGER® Psychophysical Integration and MENTASTICS® Movement, from 1975 until1997, and has worked as an Instructor in the
Trager Institute’s professional training program from 1980 until the present. In 1983 she founded reSource, a school for bodywork in Berkeley, California, which she directed and where she taught for fifteen years. Currently she leads groups in Gestalt Awareness Practice and the TRAGER Approach. She maintains a private practice in Berkeley, California.

Denis Lafontaine

Pionnier de l’approche TRAGER au Québec depuis plus de 35 ans, Denis Lafontaine a reçu sa formation directement auprès du Dr Milton TRAGER. Il a enseigné au Canada, en Europe, aux États-Unis et dans les Antilles. Il a été également vice-président de la FQM en 1989, a créé le premier profil de formation de la fédération québécoise des massothérapeutes et à fait reconnaître le Trager comme approche de base dans les associations professionnelles. Denis a été président fondateur de l'Association TRAGER Québec en 1986 et président fondateur de l’Association des écoles en approche corporelle du Québec en 1991.
En plus de sa pratique privée et de son enseignement, Denis a développé une spécialité auprès d'une clientèle souffrant de maladies neurologiques et a participé à une recherche sur le Parkinson avec la participation des universités McGill, Concordia et l’Université du Québec. En 2003, il a reçu le prix Reconnaissance de la Fédération québécoise des massothérapeutes pour ses activités de recherche et en 2017 pour sa participation à la fondation de la FQM dont plusieurs praticiens en Trager bénéficient.

George Gottlieb is a Trager® Practitioner, Tutor, Instructor, and Licensed Massage Therapist residing in Seattle. He has been in practice since 1986 and teaching since 2000. He studied with Dr. Trager for over 10 years. His interest in bodywork was sparked by Trager® received when recovering from a serious accident and was/is part of an ongoing process of maintaining health and heightening awareness that includes weight training, diet, natural health, Yoga, Tai Chi, meditation, communication skills, and conflict resolution.
His strengths as a practitioner and instructor are a delight in the work, the ability to connect, work, and teach from a meditative place, profound respect for the body, a combination of kinesthetic understanding and intellectual curiosity, and a love for learning and sharing that which he knows.

Gwen Crowell was introduced to the work of Dr. Milton Trager when she went to massage school in Berkeley. She worked with Dr. Trager from 1978 until his passing in 1997. Attracted by the joyful movement and ease of the work, Gwen was delighted to share Trager® first with clients and then with students beginning in 1985 when Dr. Trager selected her as one of his instructors.
Gwen was a pioneer in bringing Trager to Washington and has maintained a private practice since 1979. She enjoys listening and attending to people. Through Trager, Gwen assists others in sustaining a positive and productive internal awareness, leading to kinder, gentle relationships with themselves and others. As a teacher, she effectively guides students, helping them to anchor moments of understanding and to recognize and celebrate their competencies. She is the designer of this Trager Program and a core faculty member at Discoverypoint. Gwen has also been a guest lecturer at Bastyr University and teaches Trager certification classes throughout North America, Europe, and Japan. She enjoys participating in the creative process of Trager and witnessing clients and students transform through the power of touch.

Mag.a Ingrid Hörlezeder Med
Born in 1969 in a small town near the Czech boarder she studied Music Education and Music - and Movement Education in Vienna/Austria.
In 1990 she got to know contact improvisation and started enthusiastically dancing and teaching CI which brought her to the US in 1996/97
There she also studied somatic movement therapy with Martha Eddy.
Back in Austria her somatic knowledge was integrated in her dance and movement teaching
To enrich her quality in one-to-one sessions she found trager in 2005
Became a practitioner in 2007
Tutor in 2017
Elective teacher (Trager and CI) in 2020
And Instructor in 2022
She teaches TRAGER® in Austria, the Czech Republic and in Germany

Jan är certifierad kroppsterapeut sedan 1981 och sedan 90-talet även internationell Trager instruktör (lärare).
Han studerade under direkt ledning av medicine doktor Milton Trager.
I studierna ingick också specialutbildning för människor med svårare funktionshinder av olika slag. Detta har med åren blivit Jans specialité och han har utvecklat olika arbetssätt för personer med rörelsehinder, samt med rehabiliteringspersonal och assistenter, som arbetar med funktionshindrade. Detta innebär bl a vägledning i hantering av spasticitet och kramper, hur man undviker stress i vardagen, undervisning i praktisk ergonomi, attityd, kommunikation och empati.
Jans arbetsområde omfattar inte enbart funktionshindrade utan alla som önskar må bättre såväl fysiskt som psykiskt.
Jan är också Dipl Stresskonsult från Humanova.
I Jans bakgrund finns studier i Basmedicin vid BioMedicinskt Center (BMC) i Uppsala, samt teologiska studier vid Uppsala Universitet.
